A HOUSE FOR A LESSER TIGER

 

 

It seems one out of seven Americans lives below the poverty line.

 

But does it really matter…????????

 

It seems 40 percents of all American students are depressed.

But does it really matter…?????????

 

The ideology of Capitalism is well and strong, maybe more than ever before, since the ideology of the strongest and the fittest is still encouraged and applauded.

 

We do not know if the statistics above are true. We read them on Yahoo News. Is it truth what we read there…? We don’t know, yet we think they cannot be entirely false.

 

So, exactly now, when the whole world is experiencing a prolonged and severe “crisis,” certain animals of the Darwinian jungle continue to target, incessantly, the highest, the widest, the deepest and the biggest! In other words, the very “best” of the wild “American Dream.”

 

We read that the great TIGER made a mortgage of 50 millions dollars for a new horror he intends to build in Florida.

 

Did he think at all what this money might have done not in Africa, but in a poor suburb of  America…?????????????????

 

But this is the ideology of the strongest and the fittest. It is Darwin in action, Darwin applied.

 

As for our “tigers,” what can we say…????????????????

 

Aren’t they rather paper tigers…?????????????????

 

They are the servants, yes, servants of High Capitalism and the Entertainment Industry… yes, even Pleasure became an “industry,” these days, as music is and as Damien Hirst is.

 

We invite you to imagine A HOUSE FOR A LESSER TIGER.

 

For a TRUER TIGER, actually.

 

A tiger with common sense.

 

A tiger who doesn’t know it doesn’t know, as opposed to a tiger who thinks IT KNOWS IT KNOWS. This, in reference to Paul Klee’s thought that there are two mountains: the mountain of the Gods, they who know they know, and the mountain of the animals, they who don’t know they don’t know. And in between them is the crepuscular valley of men, they who know they don’t know.

 

So please design a House for a “tiger” who knows it doesn’t know… a “lesser tiger,” thus closer to a human being and, paradoxically, perhaps even closer to a TRUER TIGER.
