A HOUSE FOR A “STRONGMAN”
Who is a "strongman"…?
And what does the word “strong” really mean…?
It has been said that the strongest power is the power over oneself, not others. But how many people exercise, or try to exercise, this power…????????
It is easier to be a Commissar than a Yogi (to refer to the title of an essay by Arthur Koestler)…!!!!!!!!!!
And there are so many Commissars in this world, and so few true Yogis, despite becoming quite popular, this sport, especially in the West, "to do Yoga…”
But is it really Yoga…????????
Maybe the ex-President of Tunisia practiced Yoga too, as a “relaxing technique…” The Commissar needs to relax too… while continuing to be a Commissar.
What does the picture herein tell us…????????
That power, extrinsic power, is relative and short lived.
There were, and are, many tyrants in the world. The News is filled with them. Both “real life” and the one imagined, in movies and so on, is filled with them.
Even the rebels seem to flirt, sometimes, with those “in power.”
Even Salvador Dali proclaimed himself a monarchist and an anarchist. Indeed, one condition almost requires, as a necessary corollary, the other one.
But not all monarchs are “Commissars,” we like to think, we like to hope.
We invite you to reflect on “power,” extrinsic “power.”
That one that makes, sustains, and probably in the end kills “the Commissar.”
The opposite of the Yogi.
It is very possible Shakespeare was right: "A man may fish with the worm that hath eat of a king, and eat of the fish that hath fed of that worm."
No one escapes the worm. And in the circle of life one better stays away from extremes.
Beautiful was the Tunisian mass manifestation that overthrew one more of the kings of this world… You felt, contemplating the photographs, the inevitability of its action, its irrepressible incandescence. It seems, truly, that in the end, we like to hope, there IS some justice in the world.
Design A HOUSE FOR A “STRONGMAN.”
For someone who chooses to be a “Commissar,” than a Yogi.
