A HOUSE FOR FIVE MEN
Or should we say Five "Men"...?
This picture was published now in conjunction with what was called:
"The 25 most anticipated movies of 2013." (Please visit - http://movies.yahoo.com/blogs/movie-talk/2013-preview-25-most-anticipated-movies-202347226.html).
Obviously, neither the article with this title, nor the choice of the picture considered what happened recently in the affluent city of Newtown, Connecticut.
And obviously neither did, or do, the producers of these movies...
So what is "a man"...?
Would Diogenes still have troubles, looking today, finding one...?!?
For Hollywood, the answer is obviously: NO.
We have PLENTY OF MEN, Ladies and Gentlemen!
We do know what a man is, and here he is!
Just look at these five pictures, and you get it!
A man is a rifle and an inflated muscle.
A man is the iron fist and the "action hero".
The man is not "the shepherd of existence," as a nostalgic and outmoded philosopher might like to think, but THE AGGRESSOR par excellence.
THE AGGRESSOR.
THE MORE BROKEN BONES, the better!
THE MORE RIFLES, the better!
Oh, yes, of course, it was Heraclitus who said that war was the father of all things, wasn't he...?!?
But did he have in mind these "fathers"...?!?
What about the fathers in Newtown, Connecticut...?!?
Would they still be able to hide their tears...?!?
Who cares about tears...?!?
CERTAINLY NOT HOLLYWOOD.
CERTAINLY NOT THESE "MOST ANTICIPATED" FILMS OF 2013.
THE AGGRESSION GOES ON.
"MANHOOD" IS STILL ASSERTING ITSELF, forget the little tears in Newtown, Connecticut.
BRING ME THE RIFLE, JOE...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BRING IT TO ME...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I HAVE AN IRRESISTIBLE URGE TO KILL...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BRING ME THE RIFLE, JOE...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please send us ANY work, ANY size and ANY format that describes, architecturally, ANY of these five "men".
Let's respond to aggression with sarcasm.
Let's respond to aggressivity with cultural bites!
Let's respond to this sickening aggressivity with bitterness, but as creatively as possible.
Our tools are too weak, too subtle, too melancholy to defeat the onslaughter of High Capitalism and the Citadel of Frivolous Entertainement.
We live in The Citadel of Entertainement, the Citadel of the Five "Men," the Citadel of quickly making a buck, a buck, a buck... at all costs.
Cry, dear architect and SCREAM, SCREAM, SCREAM...!!!!!!!!!
But not as in the movie "SCREAM"...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you,
